Тя е едно страхотно, борбено момиче. Казва се Емона Иванова и е състезателка по бадминтон за хора с увреждания. „Като малка моите родители решават да се откажат от мен, тъй като лекарите им съобщават, че може би няма да оцелея. Съобщават им моето заболяване, което е спина бифида. Това е увреждане на долната част на гръбначния стълб”, разказа Емона Иванова.
Днес тя учи в университет, работи и е професионален спортист по бадминтон. „Занимавам се професионално с бадминтон от 2016 година. Иначе като дете, до 20 години, целият ми живот е минал в институции. Най-дългият ми период беше в Луковит. Там се запознах с този спорт”, допълни състезателката.
Така тя се влюбва в този спорт. Участва в много състезания за хора с увреждания и постига завидни успехи. Голямата ѝ мечта е да стигне до Параолимпийските игри в Париж през 2024 година. Необходимите средства за участието ѝ в турнири в чужбина са непосилни за нея. „Поне едно 6-7 турнира трябва да посетим тази година. Изискванията са такива, за да участваш на Параолимпийските игри догодина. В крайна сметка, колкото повече точки има един играч, толкова е по-голяма възможността той да бъде участник в Параолимпийските игри. Искам да призова хората, който с каквото може да помогне”, помоли Емона Иванова. За да се яви на всички турнири, тя се нуждае от над 15 000 лв.
За MILA.bg Емона разказа, че често се връща в Луковит. "Домът е закрит, но често ходя до града, защото оставих много приятели зад себе си. Повечето за съжаление се намират все още в институции. Не правят кой знае какво, ходят в центъра за реинтеграция и рехабилитация. Повечето ми приятели са в столицата, разбира се. Някои се занимават с баскетбол, други играят тенис на маса. Имаме и споретн клуб "Орел" в София, в който също има много спортисти. За него също търсим спонсори. Имаме кадри, не се занимаваме само с бадмингтон. Ще е хубаво и за този клуб да се чуе и да намерим спонсори, защото е важно да ходим на повече първенства".

"С моята най-добра приятелка Стефка Костова се борим за общинско жилище. Аз сега живея в студентско общежитие към Минно-геоложкия университет, но това не е истински дом, нито е сигурен дом.
